Aaron KrowneAaron Krowne holds an M.S. in Computer Science and B.S. in Mathematics from Virginia Tech, where he was a graduate student researcher in the Digital Library Research Lab, led the development of the CITIDEL digital library, developed the initial version of Noosphere, and reported on Noosphere and PlanetMath for his thesis "An Architecture for Collaborative Math and Science Digital Libraries" (with advisor Edward A. Fox). Krowne served as Head of Digital Library Research at Emory University's Woodruff Library until September 2007. At Emory he was the technical and research lead on digital library projects and initiatives. Krowne has authored or co-authored over 18 peer-reviewed publications and many more technical reports on digital libraries and related topics, as well as a book chapter and a number of invited presentations. He serves as president of PlanetMath.org, Ltd., a public established for the PlanetMath community. Currently he is CEO of IEHI, Inc., which runs a network of community web sites focusing on financial and economic issues. IEHI's web sites receive over 60,000 visitors a day and have had over 40 million visits historically since being founded at the end of 2006. |
